SUNDAY SCHOOL

SUNDAYS @ 10:15AM

"We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing." (2 Thessalonians 1:3)

Sunday school is where we learn more about how to integrate our faith in Jesus into every aspect of life through age-appropriate lessons for adults, youth, and children.  Whether learning the Story of what God has done or wrestling with God's call to deny ourselves each day, this is a time for us to explore how life in Jesus transforms the way we live toward God, toward others, and toward creation itself

TOWARD GOD

As we better understand what God has done in Jesus (and continues to do by the Holy Spirit), we live in ongoing faith and repentance toward God.  We pursue new obedience not to get anything from God, but because we love him and and want to imitate him as his beloved children.

TOWARD OTHERS

Jesus said he "...came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:45)  From him we learn that our lives are not meant to be lived for ourselves, but rather we spend our lives in love and service of others, both inside and outside the church.

TOWARD CREATION

Work existed before sin ever did.  And although sin still frustrates our various callings, Christ has redeemed us for good works.  So, in whatever God has given us to do - as parents or plumbers; as teachers or tailors; as children or chefs - we seek to do it as a citizen of God's Kingdom, showing His greatness.
